We bought some sandwiches, fruit and water to take with us for lunch. 上星期我们去城外野餐，我们为午饭准备了三明治、水果和水。我们一大早就启程，以便避开交通高峰时间。 We started out quite early before there was too much traffic. After two hours of driving, we came to a nice place. It was at the foot of a hill and near a river, with some large trees beside it. Of course, The car breaking down spoilt our picnic in the end! 我们只好把车推到大路旁等待救助。坏了的汽车最终破坏了我们的野餐. 63. A Geography Group 参加地理小组 Last term I took part in a geography research study group. Our topic was environmental pollution and protection. We took a variety of pictures showing the present pollution conditions of our city. 上学期我参加了地理小组的研究性学习。我们研究的课题是：环境污染与环境保护。在研究过程中我们还拍了大量的照片，借以反映目前城市环境的污染情况。 To our surprise, there are still a lot of people doing silly things to our surroundings. Look at Peter's Room 检查彼得的房间 It was said that Peter's room was always in a mess. In fact, it was the messiest among the boys' rooms. One day we went to Peter's room with a ladder. Peter was too ashamed to say a word after we entered his room and brought his trick to light. The 2008 Olympic Games 2008年奥林匹克运动会 Beijing will hold the Olympic Games in 2008. When the news came on July 13th, people both in Beijing and in other cities became too excited to sleep. 北京将在2008年举办奥林匹克运动会，7月13日消息传来，北京和其他城市的人民都兴奋地无法入睡，他们自动涌到城市广场，举行庆祝活动。 They gathered in squares and held celebrations. At the same time, people in Beijing realized that it will not be easy to hold the Olympic Games. Many foreign visitors, reporters and sportsmen will come to Beijing at that time. 同时，北京人也意识到举办奥林匹克运动会并非一件容易的事。届时，许多外国访问者、记者、运动员将来北京。 More and more preparation should be done. We have also found many people, both young and old, are learning to speak English. As high-school students in Beijing, we will do more for the Beijing Olympic Games. As for myself, my plan is to study English hard and to be a volunteer to teach English in the community center. 越来越多的准备工作要做。我们还发现周围许多人正在学习英语，无论老幼。作为北京的中学生，我们要为奥林匹克运动会多做贡献。至于我本人，我的计划是努力学习英语，自愿到社区中心教英语。
