Wonderland
After a huge 2022, Seafret are returning with their third full length album 'Wonderland' in April 2023. With this record, Seafret are coming of age and leaning easily into a more mature sound. Without losing sight of their acoustic roots and resonant emotions that comprise the core of Seafret's success, new music takes on a refreshing pop energy that lifts them into a new space. Giving fans an early taste of the record with the first single 'See, I'm Sorry', a foot stomping triumph, the Yorkshire duo haven't completely lost their acoustic roots. Which is apparent on tracks like the sunny 'Summertonic' and the inclusion of fan favourite 'Pictures' off of their 'Anywhere From Here' EP. Pop threads run through 'Wonderland' in the shape of electronic instrumentation, programmed beats and turning Seafret's knack for melody towards earworm hooks and anthemic choruses. Title track 'Wonderland' is set to be a fan favourite as it melds the recognisable emotive lyricism and acoustic based instrumentation; but moving into an energetic refrain underpinned by drums and keys. Following on from the enormous viral trend surrounding 'Atlantis' over the past six months, audiences are ready for more big moments from Seafret. With a number live shows in South America under their belts in 2022, Seafret will be embarking on a UK tour straight after the album release. With eleven dates throughout the UK and Ireland, including a London date at newly opened KOKO, this is just the beginning of a busy year.
