"Beautiful Monster" was written by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate. Ne-Yo's track record of smashes with Stargate includes "So Sick" (2006, #1 pop, #1 UK), "Because of You" (2007, #2 pop), "Closer" (2008, #1 Dance, #1 UK), "Miss Independent" (2008, #1 R&B), and "Mad." 　　"Beautiful Monster," Ne-Yo's first major single release in more than a year and a half, is also the first early warning shot from his upcoming new album.
